Teen Vogue is pushing abortion on its very young readers once again.
This week, the pro-abortion teen magazine published an article claiming that taking dangerous abortion drugs really are no big deal.
Author Sammy Nickalls argued that the abortion drugs should be available in every pharmacy across the United States, something the ACLU wants to make happen.
Earlier this week, the pro-abortion legal group filed a lawsuit against the FDA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, arguing that the government is restricting women’s access to abortion by requiring that the abortion drug be dispensed at a medical facility under the supervision of a certified provider (not necessarily a doctor), KHON News 2 reports.
Teen Vogue, the ACLU and other abortion activists claim the abortion drugs are so safe and easy to use that there is no reason why the should not be readily available in pharmacies.
“The abortion pill is widely believed by physicians to be a safe and extremely effective way to end an early pregnancy,” Nickalls wrote at Teen Vogue. “It’s actually like having a period.”
Here’s more from her pro-abortion piece:
"Government efforts to outlaw abortion are not only senseless — they’re deadly, [Melissa Grant, chief operations officer for carafem,] explains. “Efforts to end abortion through restrictive laws only increases the shame and desperation for those seeking abortion,” she told Teen Vogue. “It does nothing to decrease the number of unintended pregnancies or the number of abortions.”
The harder it is to get an abortion, the more likely it is that unsafe abortions will skyrocket — leading to abortion-related deaths. “[H]aving medication abortion available in pharmacies reduces barriers for people needing this basic health care service by increasing the number of providers women can reach out to when looking for an option for an early, safe, and private abortion,” Grant said. “These are good steps towards decreasing abortion stigma while assuring better health outcomes for all people.”
The abortion drugs actually are very dangerous to women and deadly to their unborn babies. There are numerous reasons why there are regulations for use of the drug.
One is the abuse often linked to abortion.
Kelsey Hazzard, founder of Secular Pro-Life, told LifeNews: “The FDA regulations are a crucial safeguard to keep abortion pills out of the hands of abusive men. Currently, if a man wants to slip abortion pills in his partner’s food or drink, obtaining them is a tall order. John Weldon was only able to do it because his father happened to be a gynecologist; he stole his father’s prescription pad and forged the signature. Those cases are mercifully rare.
But if the ACLU lawsuit is successful, the floodgates will be opened. Their ultimate goal is to make chemical abortion available at any corner pharmacy, no questions asked. Abortion will become the father’s choice.”
